MS8844 provides four independently controllable half-H-bridge drivers that can be used to drive two DC motors, a stepper motor, four solenoids or other loads. Each output driver channel contains N-channel power MOSFETs in a half-H-bridge configuration.
The MS8844 can individually control each channel input. The reference ground for the logic input and nFAULT output is set to a separate anchor when a separate power supply is used.
The MS8844 provides a peak current of up to 2.5A or a maximum sustained output current of 1.75A on each channel of the half-H bridge. The chip provides over current protection, short circuit protection, under voltage protection and over temperature protection.
