he MS9281-80 is a single-supply, 10-bit, 80 MSPS analog-to-digital converter with an integrated sample-and-hold circuit and reference voltage. It employs a multistage fully differential pipeline architecture.
The input design of the MS9281-80 simplifies the architecture of communication and imaging systems. Multiple input ranges are selectable by the user.
The sample-and-hold circuit is also suitable for multiplexed systems. Such systems switch full-scale reference voltages across multiple channels to sample single-channel inputs at rates at or above the Nyquist frequency. With an integrated clamp circuit, AC-coupled input signals can be clamped to a fixed level.
The MS9281-80 delivers excellent dynamic performance.
It features an integrated programmable reference voltage; an external reference voltage can also be selected to meet accuracy and temperature drift requirements.
The MS9281-80 also provides an overrange indicator bit, which, when used with the most significant bit, identifies whether high overflow or low overflow has occurred.
The device operates from a supply voltage of 2.7 V to 3.6 V over a temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C.
