MS51588N is an 8-channel, 16bit, charge redistribution successive approximation analog-to-digital converter, using a single power supply.
The MS51588N has all the components required for a multichannel, low-power data acquisition system, including: a true 16-bit SAR ADC with no code loss; An 8-channel low-crosstalk multiplexer for configuring inputs as single-ended inputs (with or without reference ground), differential inputs, or bipolar inputs; Reference source buffers; Temperature sensor; Optional monopole filter; And a sequencer that is very useful for multi-channel sequential sampling.
MS51588N uses a simple SPI interface to write configuration registers and read conversion results. The SPI interface uses a separate power supply (VIO), which is set to the host logic level. Power consumption is proportional to the conversion rate.
The MS51588N comes in a small QFN20 package and operates from -40°C to +125°C.
