The MS35629 is a high-precision, low-noise, two-phase stepper motor driver chip that supports a supply voltage of up to 36V. It features built-in power MOSFETs with an on-resistance of 720mΩ (high-side + low-side) and a peak current of 1.5A.The MS35629 integrates fast decay mode and quiet decay mode to meet different application requirements at high and low speeds. The fast decay mode provides excellent dynamic characteristics, while the quiet decay mode offers lower noise and higher efficiency.The MS35629 includes an automatic half-current function. When no input pulse is detected on the STEP pin or when the target position is reached, the current automatically decays to the stop current set in the register, effectively reducing system power consumption.Speed and position control can be achieved via SPI-configured registers or the industrial-standard STEP/DIR interface. The MS35629 uses SPI communication to set operating modes, current configurations, diagnostic output settings, and other functions.
The MS35629 integrates stall detection, open-circuit detection, undervoltage protection, overcurrent protection, and overtemperature protection features.
